YRE empowers youth with skills in environmental advocacy and provides a platform to raise awareness about the environmental issues they care about.

We promote Education for Sustainable Development through our five programmes: Eco-Schools, Young Reporters for the Environment, Learning about Forests, Blue Flag, and Green Key. Your Role as an Intern
As a Programme Assistant with YRE, you will be an integral part of our dynamic education team. Your responsibilities will include:
Programme & Project Support: Organizing meetings, webinars, and events; supporting National Operators; collaborating with colleagues to meet project deliverables, such as reports to sponsors.
Content Creation: Designing, researching, writing, and creating impactful content for newsletters, social media, and other platforms to highlight the activities and impact of our programmes and global network.
Social Media Assistance: Producing and executing social media campaigns to engage with our global audience.
Online Learning: Reviewing, improving, and creating high-quality online courses for FEE Academy.
Administrative Tech Support: Processing YRE International Competition submissions.
Necessary Skills
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools (Canva)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
A detail-oriented and organised approach to work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desirable Skills
A strong passion for environmental sustainability and youth education.
Education or professional experience in marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
Comfort working in a multicultural environment.
Fluency in other common languages is a plus.
Internship details:
Location: FEE Head Office, Copenhagen (with a 50/50 hybrid work policy).
Duration: 3–6 months (negotiable).
Hours: 37 hours per week, including a 30-minute lunch break.
Compensation: Unpaid. Interns must secure their own accommodation and living expenses.
Eligibility:
English is the official language at the FEE Head Office.
Must be EU/EEA/Nordic citizens or hold a valid Danish work permit.

Interns should inform FEE of any existing holiday plans during the interview process.
